Although the promise of coming images and sounds on this site is currently limited to a timeline graphic and a map of China, the content is impressively thorough and comprehensive. From the Xia Dynasty to The People's Republic of China, this endeavor addresses the struggles and triumphs of early Chinese dictators and ends with the communist rise to power through Mao Zedong in the 20th century. This is a great site for research or general reading, but will probably be more enjoyable in its multimedia incarnation.
