It's a blatant, and charming, rip-off of the Strunk and White guidebook for clear writing, but that's OK, because this is sorely needed. For instance, Rule #3 reads, "Consistent use of modes of emphasis; don't use bold or italic unless genuinely necessary, and make sure that you have a formula governing which to use when." Rule #4 adds, "Horizontal rules (<hr>) are a great help in separating sections of a page, but they are not a panacea." We liked this contribution to style and clarity online.
