The Theremin, that bizarre wobbly instrument best known from the soundtracks of Ed Wood movies and the beginning of Good Vibrations, has been enjoying a bit of renaissance as of late. After the release of the hailed documentary Theremin, this instrument played by sticking your hand between two metal antennae has shown up in a number of recent recordings from Dinosaur Jr. to Portishead. As a matter of fact, you can find out on this site everyone who's used the theremin recently, as well as a wealth of other information on the obscure tool. If only they had a few audio clips, this site would be worthy of Leon Theremin himself.
